Hey, I’m Caleigh!
I’m an event & lifestyle photographer from Vancouver, British Columbia.
I was born and raised on the West Coast and grew up in the outdoors. My summers were spent splashing in the oceans of Howe Sound & setting up camp in the remote island forests of BC.
When I got my first camera I became obsessed with capturing the world around me and took endless photos of the mountain sunsets.
I never planned on being a photographer.
I was an elite gymnast through my teens and had hopes of joining Cirque du Soleil after graduating from high school.
But…life has other plans. A career ending injury put an end to my circus dreams when I was 18. I was forced to slow down, re-evaluate my life and values, and move on.
During my recovery photography came back into my life. I started documenting the people around me as I healed. Through this I realized there was a power in documenting life. Individually a photo caught a passing moment and held it as something tangible, but collectively, photos tell a story.
I am passionate about…
creating opportunity for marginalized artists. I aspire to continue educating and uplifting those in the creative community whenever I can - through mentorship, event & showcase opportunities or simply by being an open book to help creatives in any way I can.
Right now…
…you can catch me either in my cozy home office with a HUGE cup of black tea editing away with my catto sidekick and a good murder podcast, or trying to parallel park downtown to get it to an event (also featuring a murder podcast).
